The researchers found that people who ate whole grains in addition to keeping a healthy diet—of low-fat dairy, fruits, vegetables and protein—lost more weight from the abdominal area the group of people who kept the same healthy diet but ate the refined.
2. Potato! A big NO!
After a researches, a study was published in the New England Journal of Medicine onserved the weight changes of more than 120,000 men and women for up to 20 years. The participants were checked at an interval of every four years and, on average, they gained 3.35 pounds each time. Hence almost 17 pounds by the time the study was finished. DO you wanna know the foods associated with the greatest weight gain? Yeah! You guessed right— potatoes and potato chips.
3. Red and processed meat
The above mentioned ,same 20-year study discovered that people who ate more red and processed meat gained weight, saying about one extra pound every four years. In another research study, published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, researchers worked with above 370,000 people and observed that folks who ate the equivalent of a small steak a day gained about five pounds in five years.
Those cupcakes that your co-worker makes for special occasions! Yeah, avoid them. To mention, the FDA has already declared war on tarns fats, store-bought frosting yet contains a not-so-healthy quantity of the stuff. So you might wonder, how bad can tarns fats be….. Researchers at Wake Forest University gave groups of monkeys two different diets; one group was served tarns fats and the other ate unsaturated fats. And the result was frightening. The group that are tarns fats upped their body weight by 7.2 percent in six years and the other only gained 1.8 percent. Not only did the tarns fats added new fats, it was also responsible for making fats move from other areas to the belly. So try and avoid, tarns fat in foods like snack foods, pre-made baked goods and frozen pizzas.
5. Diet soda
So you also get fooled by the zero-calorie label, yet sodas having sugar substitutes are believed by many to play a role in weight gain. A new study published found that people who drank diet soda gained three times the amount of abdominal fat over nine years as those who didn’t drink the no-lac stuff.
Sure, that study only looked at adults ages 65 and older, but consider this: Recent research from the Weidman Institute of Science found that mice drinking water with artificial sweeteners like aspartame, saccharin and sucrose became vulnerable to insulin resistance and glucose intolerance. The very two things known to lead to weight gain.
So thinking what? Yet breath hold! Well if you have been all the above, it’s never too late to begin something new which would also be good for you. Only going to gym is not a solution to your health problems, you need to maintain good eating habits.
