How Smoking Weed Ruin Your Gains And Affect Gym Performance

Fact is that majority of lifters keep at bay recreational substances, but this is a serious question atleast for those who smoke out for one reason or other. In this blog of CRB Tech Reviews we write about the smoking hazards for a gym performer.

Smoking Weed Will Only Hamper Your Training

A not so very high level of scientific explanation is required. Weed has no positive effects on your training and muscle gain. Moreover, the regular smokers have reduced reaction time, low strength levels, poor muscular and mind connection, declined exercise capacity and exhaust quickly. And thses are direct and prolonged effect of weed on training and performance

Knowing The Endocannabinoid System (ES)

Endocannabinoid system is a type of sensitive system that comprise of two primary receptors called cannabinoid receptor 1 and cannabinoid receptor 2 (CB1 and CB2). The ES controls , appetite regulation, immune functions, stress and pain sensation. The cannabionid receptors when gets bind with external cannabinoids that you smoke in with the weed; impacts a lot of metabolic processes. Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD) are two main compounds of marijuana that bind to the receptors.  So, the ES control centre gets compromised with higher intake of weed.

But A few Lifts, Get High And Eat Big!

Let me mention that one cannabis fact is that it effects the appetite level. Yes the appetite increase and hence after one smoking session you wil feel very hungry. But we can’t see a lot of really fat cannabis smokers. Because chronic intake of cannabis severely reduce or limits your appetite. So, if you are a lifter and smoke once a while, you will definitely eat more than the usual quantity. And if you are a lifter and intelligent too, then you know what you need to do next. Yes double your workout session or atleast do it more than usual.

So, Should I Or Not?

If you are intelligent and a regular lifter, you can give a nod to weed sometimes; for your advantage. But if you are a lifter and have been a regular smoker regularly then it is time to right now. The weeds will only reduce and create mess with your gains and performance.

We conclude now. So how you like the two ways approach? Let us know in comment section below.
