Bollywood acting professional Salman Khan, who showed up before a judge here on Friday associated with an 18-year-old blackbuck poaching case, requested forgiveness “not guilty”. The 51-year-old acting professional, to a query on religion beliefs resulting from the judge, said “I’m Hindu and Islamic both. I’m Bharatiya.”
Salman and his Hum Saath-Saath Hain co-stars Saif Ali Khan, Neelam Kothari, Sonali Bendre and Tabu, requested forgiveness “not guilty” in the case in a Jodhpur judge.
The stars were found in the judge to get their claims documented before the judge of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Dalpat Singh Rajpurohit.
During the course of listening to on Friday, Salman responded to as many as 65 questions resulting from the judge pertaining to the accusations levelled by the prosecution witnesses.
Salman and the other stars also responded to a few common concerns like names, dad’s name, age, address and religious beliefs.
To a query pertaining to his religious beliefs, Salman, the son of popular movie writer Salim Khan and Sushila Charak, said: “I’m Hindu and Islamic both. I’m Bharatiya”. He consequently said in English that “I’m an Indian”.
Asked about the accusations levelled by the justice, the superstars requested forgiveness “not guilty”.
Salman in his response said that he could not have gone out for poaching due to security factors, especially in the nights or evening.
“I used to be active in the shooting in the day and in the evening time I used to go to sleep as I was exhausted. In evening because of security factors, I never used to go out. I refuse all the expenses. I have been incorrectly suggested as a factor,” Salman informed the judge.
The next hearing to in the blackbucks poaching case is scheduled to take place on Feb 15 in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate here when Salman Khan’s advice is predicted to generate defense witnesses to reverse the justice.
“We will generate defense witnesses to reverse the justice as all the accusations are incorrect,” Hastimal Saraswat, Salman’s suggest, said.
“All expenses against my client are incorrect ,” Saraswat said.
The CJM court had previously requested the Bollywood superstars to appear on Jan 25 to record statement, but the superstars, such as Salman and Saif, did not come on that day stating security factors.
The court then delayed the matter for Friday.
The case against all cine superstars is awaiting since 1998, but it could not come for hearing and remained delayed due to several is attractive and modifications in the higher court in other linked issues.
Salman and Saif remained in the court for around 30 minutes and an time respectively. The stars had to stay in judge for around two hours.
Relatives of the movie superstars, such as Salman’s sis Alvira and his security guard Shera, were also existing during the court procedures.
All the five Bollywood stars are charged of poaching blackbucks on the late night of Oct 1-2, 1998, during the capturing of Hum Saath-Saath Hain.
Two blackbucks, a secured creature under the Wild animals Protection Act, were murdered in the borders of Kankani town near Jodhpur.
Salman was charged of holding and using unlawful arms too, but lately the CJM court found him innocent of the charges.
