After the achievements of NH10, the viewers have high anticipation from Anushka Sharma’s second production project, Phillauri. The film to a large level is seen as a stride to get rid of away from pre-conceived concepts of film making. Anushka has introduced together a group of younger and talented artists such as debut movie director Anshai Lal.
However, film exhibitor Akshaye Rathi said that Phillauri will start on a slow note at the box office and one shouldn’t be amazed. “Phillauri is not a huge performer. Compared with a Baahubali 2 or Bajrangi Bhaijaan, this film doesn’t need to go to every corner of the country.

When questioned if Phillauri can anticipate better business over the past end of the week, Akshaye said, “Not really. I am anticipating the film to gather the same amount of Rs 2-3 crore on Weekend as well. The film will display a growth on Weekend.”

Directed by debutant Anshai Lal and produced by Anvita Dutt, Phillauri has been promoted as a movie about a not so formal ghost, Shashi (Anushka Sharma). She can be seen only by Kanan (Suraj Sharma), who seems to get married to a tree she had been residing in, as part of a Hindu habit to fix bad omens of the stars. His odd behavior thereon starts to fear his to-be wife Anu (Mehreen Pirzada) and their families. Shashi, meanwhile, efforts to appear sensible of why she haunts into the world.
